Euroleague Final Four: Small Final on a Big Day
Partizan Belgrade - CSKA MoscowUsually it is hard to predict small final outcomes because it depends on pshylogical mood after loss and often logic simply doesn't work in these type of games. But today I think we have an exception.
May 9 is a Victory Day in World War II and this is a big holiday in Russia. CSKA is a Central Sporting Club of Army and everybody wants only victory from them today. They know it and according to some interviews looks that CSKA before tournament was prepared to play 2 games in 3 days because they knew that 2nd games will played on May, 9.
I do like Partizan. They are great. Their coach is great. But they lost in the OT because of mistake. I am not sure that Partizan would be able to regenerate its energy fot this small final in such short time.
CSKA is better side almost on all positions but many teams were better than Partizan this season. So this is not a big factor but experience and motivation is what matters in this game. CSKA is slighly better team, with more experienced players, with higher motivation and with better knowledge how to produce a result when playing away from home. That's why I expect CSKA to take 3rd place in this match.
