Asseco Prokom - BC KhimkiProkom is fastest team in Euroleague. Their style of play is americanized as much as it is possible. They run, they shoot well and they are fighting for rebounds quite welltoo. They have nice chance to enter Top-16 phase by winning tonight against BC Khimki and Milan loss to Real. Prokom has 2 ex-Khimki players Ewing and Ratko Varda who could be even more motivated to say "do you remember me?" to Khimki managers and coach.
Khimki is unmotivated side in this game but they promise to fight until the end. They also have nice shooters and players who can score points and I expect Khimki to accept Prokom style of of playing. More of than they can profit from fast pace game because offensively they are quite good team but this Euroleague season they mostly play against superdefense or against low-pace teams - that's why their away statistics is lower than it could be. I expect 170+ posessions game here and if both teams will have average percentage line for such tempo should be at least 157 points. But there is a chance that game would be even faster (Prokom had 2 180+ possesions game this season and average of 176 possessions) or one of the teams could have a shooting night - this will affect total going to 160+ pts. Expected scores are: 85:72, 81:76, 88:76, 79:75.. Expected total 154-163. Pick: Over 151.5 @ 1.90 BET365
EWE Baskets Oldenburg - Panathinaikos
Panathinaikos: - Dimitris Diamantidis will miss the game against Oldenburg due to a groin injury that has sidelined him for several weeks. - Vassilis Spanoulis is out this week after spraining his ankle in the Greek League. - Nikola Pekovic is out with a heel injury suffered in a weekend Greek League game. - Milenko Tepic and Stratos Perperoglou traveled to Germany and are expected to play despite minor injuries.
EWE Baskets Oldenburg: - Jasmin Perkovic will miss the next six weeks with a partially ruptured meniscus.
Pao is much better team and should prove 2-3 level of class diffence here. It is hard to predict winning margin of PAO because but I think we can expect double digits victory if greek team will show at least 60% of its real playing level.
AJ Milano - Real MadridArmani Jeans Milano:- Morris Finley is expected to miss the next two months with a strained right calf muscle. - Alex Acker will miss the rest of the regular season with a muscle tear in his leg. - Joey Beard has bean released by the club. Real Madrid:- Jorge Garbajosa missed his weekend's Spanish League game but traveled to Milan and could face Armani Jeans on Thursday. - Tomas Van den Spiegel will be sidelined for several months with a leg injury. - Sergio Llull remains sidelined with a low ankle sprain. - Travis Hansen has returned to action and is expected to face Armani Jeans. Looks like Real crisis is over and they again starting to roll. I am sure that Messina and Reals itself want 1st place in this group which can help to avoid bad draw in Top-16 phase. Real has deeper roster, better defense and higher class than AJ Milan, which is will miss they key player Morris Finley. Instead of him Bucchi will be forced to use old Bulleri in rotation alone against Pridgioni-Jaric duo. AJ Milano has a lot of matchup problems in this game and without their offensive power and attack leader I hardly see them scoring over 70 points. Real at the same with full roster and 2-3 players in each position should be able to make a killing run sooner or later and finish this game quite comfortable with 5-9 points edge. Pick: Real ML @ 1.54 betfair.com/redirect.aspx?pid=4794&bid=3233">Betfair or Real (-4) @ 1.83
Olympiacos - Partizan
Olympiacos: - Theo Papaloukas is still out with an injury to his right foot. Partizan: - Aleks Maric will miss a month due to knee ligament damage.
Should be a walk-over for Olympiacos. Both team fast paced but Oly can defend under 72 points playing at high pace. Partizan most probably will have huge troubles offensively without their scoring leader and rebounder A.Maric and defensively it will be hard to stop very athletical roster of Olympiacos. Easy win for Oly expected here but line set accordingly.
Rytas - UnicajaLietuvos Rytas:- Steponas Babrauskas will be game day decision due to a twisted ankle. Unicaja:- Shammond Williams was released from the club. - Berni Rodriguez did not travel with the club due to a shoulder injury. - Saul Blanco remains sidelined with a leg injury. - Joseph Gomis will miss the regular season with an Achilles tendon injury. Rytas should win this one especially taking into consideration Unicaja's missings but 1.30 is a result of "cutten" odds. This weekend Caja Laboral was -7.5 favorite against Unicaja at home and now we have almost the same odds for Rytas. Unicaja is still a good team with talented players who can find a shot and make a damage to Rytas defense. And the most important thing here is that Unicaja has class and Rytas does not have it... In ahother words one thing is to place a bet on Olympiacos at short odds in must-win game and another to back mediocre European club with nice home court statistics. I wish to see Rytas in Top-16 and will support them today on TV but odds for Rytas are too short to back it before the game. Orleans - EfesEntente Orleanaise:- Head coach Philippe Herve has a full squad available for the team’s regular season finale. Efes Pilsen:- Sinan Guler is out with an injury to his stomach muscles. - Preston Shumpert has suffered an eye injury that could sideline him this week. Orleans are in very good shape at this moment. It is hard to go against them with very problematic Efes Pilsen. Logically Efes does not deserve place in Top-16 phase and I would not be suprised to see another unexpected defeat of Efes Pilsen and coach resign after this game. However, Efes can show another face and show a class difference here to French team. I would consider picking Efes if they line would be 1.87-1.87 but having Efes almost 5 points favorite I have no desire to take them as well go against them. Skip.
