Phoenix's game against Houston marks the sixth annual Mercury Matinee, a day game in which the organization extends an invitation to children's summer camps from across the Valley. More than 11,000 kids are expected to attend, selling out the lower half of the arena.

This is the first meeting between these teams since Phoenix swept the clubs' four-game season series during its championship run. The Mercury averaged 92.3 points against the Comets and outscored them by an average of 12.5. Phoenix guard Diana Taurasi, the league's leading scorer with 23.9 points per game, was held to eight points and 3-for-15 shooting from the field in the Mercury's 91-80 road loss to the Sparks on Sunday night.

Prediction

I can't say that -5.5 points line is wrong but situational factor talks here for the hosts. Phoenix come to this game on 2 games losing streak and should be extra-motivated to win game. Unfortunately I can't say with high confidence that Phoenix can cover 6 points handicap because with their ability to allow so many points and some troubles under the basket I think that Houston will be able to score in the low 80's. Other will depend on Mercury ability to score points. At home they usually capable of scoring at least 86-88 points and in front of sold-out arena they should find tempo early and win with confidence. But I advice you to take bet with lower stakes because this is a pick on fair line.
