Lauren Jackson has had subpar shooting games whenever the Seattle Storm have had a chance to reach seven straight wins. She won't get a chance to make up for past struggles. With Jackson off to Australia to train for the Olympics, the Storm will try to set a franchise record for consecutive victories when they visit the Indiana Fever on Friday night. Thanks to six straight wins, Seattle (14-7) is one game behind first-place San Antonio in the Western Conference. The Storm, though, will be without their leading scorer for the next five games. Jackson, averaging 20.2 points, is training with the Australian national team in preparation for the Olympics. In her last game, the two-time league MVP had 14 points, five rebounds and five blocks as Seattle beat Los Angeles 70-52 on Saturday night. Ashley Robinson and Camille Little are candidates to replace Jackson at forward in the starting lineup.

Indiana (10-10), meanwhile, has lost two of its last three games, including an 81-77 defeat to expansion Atlanta on Wednesday night. The Fever may have to play without star forward Tamika Catchings, who had 18 points, 12 rebounds and five assists Wednesday before re-injuring her right heel in the fourth quarter. Catchings, who missed the first eight games of the season because of an Achilles' tendon injury, was kicked in the foot and did not return to the game. The recent addition to the U.S. Olympic team was cleared to play Thursday after an MRI showed no damage to the tendon, but did not practice and her status remains questionable.

Prediction

Looks like this line ignores that L.Jackson best player and leading scorer for Seattle Storm has left this team due international duties with Australian Olympic NT. Also Seattle are poor traveller with only 2 games won and I expect really tough life for them today in Indiana where home team usually very strong. T.Catchings is declared to be fit for this game so no missing for home team and motivation is also on their side because they feel Washington breath in the table and if they want to avoid nervous August and September they should do their best not to lose points at least at home where Fever was always a hard to beat.
