Chicago Sky vs. New York Liberty
New York Liberty starting center Janel McCarville, who fell to the floor in pain after attempting a layup late in the fourth quarter during Sunday's win over Chicago, looked as if she suffered a major injury. But the final prognosis left a positive feeling on Monday after a MRI revealed McCarville had back spasms. At this moment she is listed as day-to-day but I doubt that Liberty coach will use her in the last games of regular season which does not mean nothing for Liberty because they secured 3rd spot in Eastern Conference. The loss would have been significant, especially with the team was already shorthanded due to the absence of Shameka Christon (hamstring) and Tiffany Jackson (stress fracture). After Olympic break New York Liberty has only 2-5 ATS record and game in Chicago will be 4th in 6 days for them and I have some seriuos doubts about their legs condition.
On other side we have Chicago Sky which lost 3 important games to league leaders Seattle, Connecticut and to New York after winning them 69-60 few days before. Now Chicago will play at home with full roster and motivation to close out regular season with 3 straight wins. At this moment Chicago shows good basketball and owns 5-2 ATS record and it shows that public always understimate them after Olympic break when they started to play with full roster. I can't say that -4 pts line is wrong, I would probably set a litle higher handicap around 5.5 points but under this conditions I think it is worth to take Chicago spread. They have good chances to cover this handicap playing at home however I would recommend to keep medium or medium-low bets.
Pick: Chicago (-3.5) @ 1.85 Bet-At-Home
