KK Zadar - Azovmash Mariupol
This Tuesday at 7 PM Zadar is the host of Ukrainian Azovmas in the rematch of the ULEB Cup. The coach Aco Petrovic announced the game as “the match of this part of the season”, although these 40 minutes will be the most important in the whole season. Zadar passed to the second part of the Cup, and they have accomplished the goal their management set at the beginning of the season. However, Zadar’s players will try to go as far as they can to collect more points and reduce Cibona’s advantage in the race for the three year contract with the Euroleague.

Aco commented on the defeat against Geoplin, saying that it bothers him more than some think. “This defeat is more painful for me than many would expect, because only one of our players was functioning in the game, and the rest of the team was psychologically absent, probably thinking about the Tuesday game.”

But a much bigger problem than the defeat in Kodeljev is the fact that Zadar is entering the game with four consecutive defeats. The coach thinks that only two of these have to be analysed: the one against FMP and the one against Slovan. Luckily, Brewer and Juby Johnson who were both with minor injuries have recovered completely and Petrovic can count on his whole team in this game.

“We have to stop this fall and win, because it would give us at least two and a half weeks to prepare for the next round of ULEB. This competition is in our main focus, because the situation in the regional league is mostly defined”, Zadar’s coach said. “Azovmas will be more prepared and rested, because they haven’t played since the game against us. They have been training and preparing, and flew to Zadar with a direct charter flight, so they will be less tired than us. I expect us to win by our concentration and energy. Azovmash will be without Edney and Delininkaits. Lishouk in bad form, Podorvannyj is quiestionable but will play probably.

Prediction: Azovmash is not so strong team as records is showing. Many problems inside them team, coaches changed too often to expect stable game from team. Looks like today they will finish their eurocup season. Zadar to win by 7-15 pts.

Dynamo Moscow - Asco Slask Wroclaw
Dynamo was not at their best in Poland but managed to win this game. Wroclaw showed their best skills but lost. Now Wroclaw will lose concetration and motivation very soon and Dynamo will erase them from the European Cup Earth like they did with all teams in Moscow. Also I expect Dynamo to score around 95 and Wroclaw about 68-75 pts.

Pamesa Valencia - Panionios Athens
Ok greeks managed to win by 11 pts at home but Pamesa had hard travel to Greece, skipped evening training session and some players were after injuries. Now everything looks well in Valencia and without doubts they will do their best tomorrow to win this game by 12 pts. At least I would be very surprised to see 1/8 of ULEB cup without Pamesa. Suprises happens but here we have class difference and home court advantage so as for me Pamesa should complete their mission and win this game by needed margin.

KK Buducnost - KK Hemofarm
Buducnos will seek for revenge and as it usually happens in such derby they will probably win a game with comfortable margin. Hemofarm looks to be in full rosters but they have 3 injured players who will play with injuries. Only HEMO coach knows their real conditions but even with them playing I hardly seem them playing at 100% when team have 26 pts difference after first game.

 

 

BK Ventspils - PBC Lukoil Akademik Sofia
Suprise is possible here with Lukoil win but probably it only for those who like to bet on underdogs. Both teams have equal class and I can't trust Ventspils in games with very dangerous opponent.

KS Turow Zgorzelec - CEZ Basketball Nymburk
This game will be played in Liberec and Turow would not have real home court advantage. But I expect very very hard match here and it's very hard to predict a winner of the series know. I expected Nymburk to build 5-9 pts lead in first game but they failed to control game in 2nd-4th quarters. If this game will be decided on last minute everything is possible when foul tactics will start. Also Turow can cause many defensive difficulties for any team and win this game comfortable. So no advantage over the line. Value was on Nymburk +6.5 but now most bookmakers have +4.5 on Nymburk what is a poor value (it's better to take Nymburk to win a game if you believe in them).

Prediction: As for me 50/50 game so Nymburk to win has some value, but it is very risky bet.

Benetton Treviso - KK Crvena Zvezda
I expect to see Ben win by 6-8 pts but would not be suprised to see 10-13 pts win here. Benetton is experienced structure, plays at home and will have many supporters as usual. That huge loss to Milano could be additional motivation factor. Italians have more solutions in offense, many mistakes in defense in first game (watched that game). If lessons will be learned for sure they will have 10-15 pts lead during a game and handicap is only a matter of right decisions during a game. Also Dragicevic was ill during weekend with fever. Sure he will play but anyway Zvezda results depends too much from Dragi-Cook tandem.

All in one I see Benetton win here but not sure about their promotion into next round. Bookmakers set their lines correctly but small value in my opinion in host side.

Prediction: Very hard game is expected but my prediction is Benetton to win by 7-13 pts.
