So here we are.. New Eurocup season is starting with Eurocup qualification round. This competiotion is ex-Uleb Cup competition and for me it is still the same unpredictable, hard for betting purposes Uleb Cup. Today's betting lines are very hard to beat.
Siauliai - Galatasaray Looks like turkish team is a favourite to win this game in public eyes but as for me it is still to early to make conclusions regarding turkish team. Turkish teams never were successful in away games and I expect another tough game in Siauliai. Lithuanian club played more official games this season and is probably better prepared for official games but turkish side looks much more solid on the list with such players as Gurovic, Miloevic, Erden and Besok. However they have short and very young bench. All in one I expect close tough game with possible home side win by few points. Galatasaray is public team but I am not sure about their win in Lithuania today, however it's hard to predict the outcome of this game. Energa Czarni vs Unics Unics looks like a sure winner of this game because of much higher individual class but -8.5 looks like correct handicap and I have no desire to pick them in Poland. Russian team is still looking their form and I would not be suprised to see them up and downs from them in Poland. Gmunden vs Tartu Rock Estonian club goes as a public team here but I have some serious doubts regarding their ability to win away from Baltic Region. Austrian clubs as well dutch teams are usually very hot in the autumn because their players are not so popular on the transfer market and in the beginning of the season team chemistry and well-working team play are very important factors. Tartu for sure has better roster with deep bench but Gmunded at home is not a gift and I expect seriuos fight here with possible surprise from Austrian club. Panelinios - Telecom Bonn Bonn at this moment is in much better conditions after 4 rounds of Bundesliga and preparation games. I watched Bonn away game against Alba one week ago and I was impressed with Bonn level of play. Maybe they don't top calibre players but they have excellent defense, fast quards, nice 3 pointer shooter and great athletes. Also Bonn has long bench and this maybe seriuos factor against Greek club. Greek basketball season just have started and I have some doubts than Panelinion is ready to cover such big spreads against teams like Bonn. They had some injury troubles before weekend game with Aris which was lost 64-70. Bonn is my favourite to win this series and I don't expect to be smashed out of the court in Greece. Bonn has defense and many other weapons to achieve the minimal task to lose by as many points as possible. I can't say that Bonn will win this game but I think that in case of loss it will should not be more than 5 points. Recommended pick: Telecom Bonn (+8) BC Triumph - Ostende Triumph has very strong roster on the paper with such players as Krstic, Askrabic, Tunceri, Bremer, Henderson and Goree.. also they have pretty strong russians and if they would not reach group stage of Eurocup I think that coach will be killed by press, sponsors and club owners. Eriomin is experienced coach and he is always looking good in the beginning of the season and looking awful in the end. This year something changed and his club is not playing at 100% right now. Russian basketball season started only on October 12th and team was not looking briliantly. However preparation for Ostende started 2-3 weeks ago and I expect prepared tactics for this game. In its first game Triumph looked good on defensive end and I expect to continue playing in defense in this game to get better big points difference. Ostende never was succesfull away from home and this year they have tough task in Eurocup. They have no advantage against russian club however they have very good defense allowing only 69.5 pts per game in 11 played games. If they will be able to defend today I think that they have good change to hold handicap which set right. If I would be forced to pick something for this game I would probably consider UNDER155.5 as a safest bet here because both clubs have good defense and for Triumph it is very important to create safe points difference. I expect something like 84-68 here for hosts. ASK Riga - Cholet Riga always was a good home team but I don't trust them. They had several games in Baltic and Latvian league and I was not satisfied with their results and level of play. Also I don't know a lot about Cholet so I will skip this game. Amsterdam - FMP I have no opinion regarding this game
