Pamesa Valencia - Unicaja Malaga

Press review:

Fotis Katsikaris (Coach of Pamesa Valencia)

"Unicaja is a different team to last year's. My view is that the team is more physical and athletic of the League. We must put more emphasis on small details in defense and attack, have fewer losses and do a better job on the rebound. " .

"Every day we improve our game. Surely we have missed little things to win the two games we lost. Our outside line must play stronger and faster to correct what we can do in the paint. "

"If a team takes advantage inside, we play with another style. They also will be difficult to defend if we play aggressive. It has players with experience and quality. Haislip is a type of player very similar to Garbajosa but it also has a very strong outside line on all bases. "

"For what we are seeing so far, the ACB seems very open, but it is still too early. Our goal must be trying to win all matches at home, although it will not be easy. "

Pamesa have problems in the interior positions with the absences of Rebraca and Ruben Garces - Barac available (aquired from the Tau, and played on Wednesday against Akasvayu).

Unicaja will miss important guards Alfonso Sanchez and Welsch.

Betting preview

Pamesa is one of the best home teams in Spain and I expect them to defend their field against Unicaja. In my opinion Unicaja's style of play is suitable for Valencia and they should be capable to match up with Unicaja well. Only problem I see for Pamesa in this match is rebounding. It's very important for them not to allow Unicaja to win rebound because this could cost them too much. On other positions I see small Pamesa advantage. Also it's worth to notice that Unicaja 2-1 record is bit overpriced here because they won 2 home games against low-table Murcija and Leon, while Pamesa had 2 very hard away games against Real and Girona (in both games they were one step ahead of win) and one hard game against Manresa (hard because of several injuries before that game).

I expected to see -4.5 handicap here for Pamesa so with small advantage over the line I think that this selection is worth a medium-low shot if you have Unicaja at least with 1.65 in the line. More fair odds according to my estimations should be 1.45-2.50.

Pick: Unicaja to win @ 1.74 Bet365 4/10
