Partizan vs. Real MadridMATCH PREVIEWPartizan Belgrade will look to correct a blemish on the club’s records when it hosts Real Madrid on Wednesday night. The mighty Serbian champs have never beaten Madrid in 12 games all-time. Partizan showed spirit last week as it came back to challenge late before losing 61-60 at Efes Pilsen. Head coach Dusko Vujosevic’s side was led by its one-two punch in the paint as power forward Novica Velickovic totaled 16 points and 8 rebounds while big man Stephane Lasme amassed 11 points, 14 rebounds and 4 blocked shots. Now the club will look for guards Milenko Tepic and Aleksandar Rasic to step up at home and lead Partizan to a monumental win. Meanwhile Madrid opened its season with a one-sided win over Panionios, 87-66. Quinton Hosley looked sharp in his Euroleague debut and Felipe Reyes was solid as usual to lead a team effort that saw seven different players score at least 7 points. Now head coach Joan Plaza’s men will try to duplicate that performance in the Serbian capital. It surely won’t be easy to dominate Partizan in Belgrade since Vujosevic’s teams are known for their toughness, even when the coach needs to look to untested reserves from the bench.
BETTING ANALYSIS U.Tripkovic joined a team in last Adriatic league and scored 20 points... This addition could be a crucial for Partizan because Uros should be a team leader for this Partizan version. Sure Partizan is looking weaker on the paper than last year but other side they demonstrate good defense and more or less balanced game. I can't say that Partizan is in crisis and I in my opinion as a team they are more ready for a season that Real Madrid. With home crowd support which is very-very louds and knows how to press opponents Partizan is capable of suprises. Real Madrid is big public team but at this team they are really not looking so great as players names sounds. R.Lopez, Massey, Papadoupolous, Mumbru, Herville - all these players are not playing as they can at this moment of the season. Sure they will find their form soon and make Real a superpower in Europe but I can't see them reaching their form in Belgrad. At this moment Real Madrid has too many weak points including defense which was alway a strong point and that's why I can't rely on them here especially at odds around 1.70. Partizan is not fast team this year, they have reliable defense and some offensive problems so I expect them to lower the pace of the game. Real Madrid should accept low tempo because they have some inside power and deep bench so they can get positive result playing in Partizan style. That's why I expect low-scoring game with possible Real win in the end. Prediction: Partizan 72 - 75 Real Madrid Pick: Under 154.5 @ 1.90 BET365
