Lietuvos RytasVS Le Mans

Lietuvos Rytas vs Le Mans

Group B co-leader Lietuvos Rytas looks to remain atop the standings when it hosts Le Mans Sarthe Basket on Thursday night at Siemens Arena in Vilnius, Lithuania. L. Rytas has won three in a row to improve to 7-2 and grab a share of first place in the group, while Le Mans is still looking for its first win of the season. Hollis Price was the star of the show with 25 points and 6 assists to lead L. Rytas to a 77-83 win when these teams last met in November.

Price will again be at the center of attention against his former team in a crucial matchup against the Le Mans guard duo of Raviv Limonad and Yannick Bokolo. Another key to the hosts’ attack is big man Marijonas Petravicius, who will attack Sam Clancy in the paint. Petravicius is just the tip of the iceberg for a very deep frontline that also boats Matt Nielsen and Kenan Bajramovic. Clancy teams with center Alain Koffi and Phil Ricci for Le Mans. Ricci posted a season-high 20 points and 4 assists last time against L. Rytas. Small forward Chuck Eidson has found his niche for the home team and is coming off a season-high 28 points in a big road win at Maccabi Tel Aviv before the break. Nicolas Batum and his all-around talents are Le Mans’s answer to Eidson in another crucial duel for the visitors. L. Rytas’s other swingmen, Mindaugas Lukauskas and Arturas Jomantas can be the team’s X-factor, like shooter Luka Bogdanovic or defensive ace Antoine Diot for Le Mans. L. Rytas’s last two home win have come by an average of 23.5 points, while Le Mans has lost by 19 and 20 in its last two road games, stats that point in L. Rytas’s favor. Two areas that Le Mans must work on against L. Rytas are rebounds and steals. It will take a big effort from all of head coach Vincent Collet’s charges to have a real chance at victory in front of the noisy and supportive crowd in Vilnius, but Le Mans has more talent than its record indicates and if Aleksande Trifunovic’s side underestimates the visitors, it could be a long night for L. Rytas.

Injuries update

 Le Mans:
- Nebojsa Bogavac has missed his team's last four games. He is expected to play against Lietuvos Rytas according to Euroleague web site, but according to Lemans official web site he is doubtful for next 2 games (vs Rytas and Paris this weekend)
- Nicolas Batum, however, is out for the game in Vilnius, as he did not travel with the team. Le Mans has yet to confirm how much time he will be sidelined.
- Rock-solid power forward Sam Clancy had 18 points and 12 rebounds in Thessaloniki for a team-high 27 index. He had MRI this weeken but nothing was found. According to LeMans web site also quiestionable today against Rytas but looks like he will play.

 Lietuvos Rytas

- Mindaugas Lukauskis recovered from a small injury and is back in action. Roberts Stelmahers is out indefinitely.
- Newcomer Jared Jordan already made his Euroleague debut, replacing Darrel Mitchell.
- Lietuvos Rytas comes off a huge 82-87 road win against Maccabi Elite. Chuck Eidson had 28 points in that game, Hollis Price 19 and Matt Nielsen 18.

Betting overview

Lemans have best defense in LNB league but in Euroleague they are not looking so good in this component. But they still are playing low-tempo athletic basketball and I expect today low-tempo game and with so many roster problems I think this game should be a one sided game. But my own line for this game is 83-66.5. Rytas is not a team which scores 90 points against any opponent and 86 points total against best French defense looks a bit too high. While Rytas defense was always with them and today I would not be surprised to see Lemans scoring in the 60-65 points range.

Also before first game in France between these teams line was only 148.5 and many people were taking under there. I think that 148.5-150 pts line is fair and Under155.5 is right choice today.

Pick: Under 156.5 @ 1.90 Bet365.com

You are a really good player. I've watched your picks for quite some time and
must say that I'm impressed. It's not my style to take other peoples picks but
must admit that I was tempted once or twice.
Keep the great work.
