 VS USA - Spain
And here are the final most of us have expected to see. Unfortunately this battle will be played without Calderon who is very important for Spain team. Without him in the roster they will be forced to play with Rubio and Lopez on point guard position and this could be a slight problem for spaniards. However Spain has enough options to make things diffucult for USA. They all must-have things to fight with USA. As I already wrote if you want to win over USA you must: |

VS
Lithuania vs Argentina
Sunday's Bronze medal game is already an injury fest. Now time will only tell if Lithuania can capitalize on Argentina's aches and pains.
Both teams find themselves playing for third place after dual heartache on Wednesday. Argentina lost to USA, 101-81. Spain was too much for Lithuania, 91-86 in semifinal competition. And come Sunday, Lithuania – who captured bronze in 200 in Sydney -may have the advantage simply because Argentina is playing nowhere near full-strength.

USA vs. Argentina
The USA has played Argentina four times in Olympic action, recording wins on three occasions and an 89-81 loss in the 2004 Olympic semifinals, after which Argentina went on to earn the gold medal. The USA topped Argentina 96-68 in 2000, 85-76 in 1952 and 59-57 in 1948. Additionally, the USA handed Argentina a 96-81 setback in the bronze medal game of the 2006 FIBA World Championship, and the USA beat a less-than-full strength Argentina squad twice in the 2007 FIBA Americas Championship, 91-76 in second round action and 118-81 in the gold medal game. The 2007 Argentina team, while featuring Scola and Delfino, was without several starters including Ginobili and Nocioni. |

We have 2 semifinals today in Men's Olympic basketball competition but looks like betting is already over on this tournament because lines looks pretty strong and it's very hard to get any advantage over them to place a bet. I will review both semifinals anyway but will stay away from providing any official picks.

Spain vs Croatia
Spain will probably play without Marc Gasol but with their 10 man rotation this should not a big problem especially if older brother Po is on the field. Spain defense is not allowing opponents to score over 75 points and in the playoff mode they should defend even better. Spain have an advantage in all aspects of the game over Croatians and if everything will go well they should get this win without big troubles. |

China vs Belarus The first quarterfinal of the day and I don't expect this game to be as easy for China as odds represent. Belarus is 3rd team in Europe and they are showing good basketball here. They are playing smart basketball with great defense, tacticaly they are very strong and with many players playing in Russian Superleague they have needed experience. Also they survived in much stronger group than China. They played against strong teams like Brazil, Russia, Australia, Latvia and also South Korea which was tough opponent for all teams in group A excluding Australia. |
